| I want to take my bicycle out for a ride this morning BUT the reality is its only 31 degrees out there! i think ihave spring fever, the sun is shining, saw the geese flying north yesterday and the birds around here have returned! All the snow is gone and its going to be in the 50's all week! So maybe I'll be able to go for ride next weekend.... | |

| May jump to low 50's between 1 - 3pm, usually warmest part of day. What kinda bike you got? | |

| Snow is here. It has settled. The snow pack is condensed and we are getting rain. This spring will be a mess. Massive flooding is predicted. | |

| Ron- its just a typical mountain bike, nothing fancy.in fact its probably considered an antique in today's biking world but it serves its purpose. Walleye- at my mom's, she stil has about 2 feet of snow yet, compacted. Sometimes easy to walk on, sometimes not and you fall in up to your knees. ugh! But great for sledding. The sky was so blue up there this weekend, just beautiful. saw a herd of deer and some kind of prints in the snow from some bird but don't know what....the prints were BIG, as big as my hand, never saw anything like it before, maybe an Osprey.wish I had the patience to figure out how to post pics here!but I don't.... : ( | |

| The melt has been intermittent so the run off isn't that bad. The Missouri River is back to where the water levels should be. They were at record lows the last few years. so it's all good. We'll have lots of winter kill on several or most lakes. That sucks, but it happens here. | |

| Too much ice and snow on the lake, so the sun can't shine through and the plants die and their decomposition uses all the oxygen in the water, so the fish die very quickly. It's good to get rid of the junk fish, but winter kill seems to kill game fish first. | |

| Cleaning the carpet this week. Thats a job and a half. Do it once a year about this time. Have a Bissell power cleaner - put hot water in the tank and you are the engine. It does a fair job - worth what I paid for it ($70 on sale at Lowes few years back). Gets most of the dirt and allergen out of the rug - doesn't do stains too well. Cleans them but a deep stain is still there. | |
